Best practices in communicating with students

Monday November 23, 2009
11/23 2:00pm–3:00pm (Learning Collaboration Studio, Rm 060 Science and Engineering Library)

In this presentation, we will explore a collection of approaches to communicating with students. From Carmen discussions to online podcasts, virtual office hours to facebook, there is an ever-expanding array of technology based options for reaching students. But which of these are actually effective? And in the end, which of these best contribute to student learning, while supporting more efficient workflows for faculty?

This is a discussion based session that is not hands-on.
