Carmen Affiliates
Staff and faculty at Ohio State whose responsiblities include instructional design, technical support, or course coordination can apply to become Carmen Affiliates. Carmen affiliates receive specially-created roles within Carmen courses that allow them to better perform their jobs. Affiliates are also consulted on decisions regarding eLearning support at Ohio State.
Depending on need, Carmen Affiliates may be granted instructor-level access to all courses in their own department or college. They may also be able to manage requests that would otherwise be handled by the Carmen team, such as combining or splitting courses sections. When Carmen Affiliates require assistance, they have direct access to the Carmen team.
Because of the level of access granted to Carmen Affiliates, participation in the program requires both permission from a dean or department chair and additional training.
