Video Conferencing
From scheduling your course or event to on-site staff support during the event, Media Services helps faculty and staff execute successful videoconferences for courses, collaboration, thesis defense, and other academic endeavors.
We request a minimum of two weeks notice prior to a live event for proper evaluation and testing of required materials and resources.
Media Services supports H.323/IP standard-based videoconferencing. Through bridging services provided by Telecommunications & Networking in the Office of the CIO, we are able to connect to many other alternative standards-based formats providing for a broad, world-wide connection base. Skype, Google Talk, iChat, and other video chat/instant messaging applications use proprietary formats not compatible with the formats supported by Media Services and Learning Technologies' T&N hardware.
Lifesize Telepresence conferencing is available through the Digital Union.
Telecommunications and Networking offers videoconferencing (both Multi-point and Point-to-Point), Broadcast Transmission, Satellite Downlinking, Special Event Programming, and Broadcast Transmission services. For more information about these services, please see Telecommunications & Networking's Videoconferencing page.
